Description
Andreva Sr 75 mg tablet is used to improve females fertility and prevent osteoporosis and depression in postmenopausal women. It contains a dehydroepiandrosterone compound as its active component. Th
is compound gets converted into testosterone in males and estrogen in females. Andreva Sr 75 mg tablet should be taken at a dose and for a duration as prescribed by your doctor. This medicine should be used at a particular time of the day to balance the serum concentration of the hormones. The full course of medicine should be completed. If you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. The most common side effects of Andreva Sr 75 mg tablet are increased chances of acne, hot flushes, weight gain, and prostate enlargement. The side effects are usually mild, but you should inform your doctor if they bother you. Most of the side effects in females are due to estrogen. Andreva Sr 75 mg tablet should not be used in people with breast, ovarian, or prostate cancer. An increase in testosterone and estrogen can cause prolific growth of the neoplasm. Diabetic people should be cautious while taking this medicine. People with benign prostate hypertrophy should not take Andreva Sr 75 mg tablet as it can further obstruct the flow of the urine leading to retention of urine and an increase in chances of urinary tract infections. - Oral hypoglycemic medicines (used for diabetes) like metformin should not be taken with Andreva Sr 75 mg tablets as the combination can decrease the efficacy of the oral hypoglycemic medicines.
- Oral contraceptive pills should not be prescribed with Andreva Sr 75 mg tablets as Andreva Sr 75 mg tablets decrease the efficacy of the contraceptive pills.
- Antiepileptics like Carbamazepine and phenytoin should not be used along with Andreva Sr 75 mg tablets as the efficacy of the antiepileptics decreases.
- Sedatives like triazolam can become ineffective if taken with Andreva Sr 75 mg tablets.
- Anticoagulants like warfarin can increase the chances of bleeding if taken with Andreva Sr 75 mg tablets
