Medical Description
Candid-B cream is a prescription medicine used to treat fungal infections in the toes, inner thighs, private parts, arms, and legs. It is also helpful for skin infections like ringworm and athlete's foot. Candid-B cream contains a combination of two medicines: beclomethasone and clotrimazole.
Clotrimazole is an antifungal medication that stops the growth of fungi by disrupting their cell membranes. Betamethasone is a steroid medication that reduces inflammation and itching associated with fungal infections. Canesten S cream, Certosure cream, Clocip B cream, Triben B cream and Zydip C cream also contain beclomethasone and clotrimazole.
It is meant for external use only. This medicine should be used per the medical prescription, as directed by the doctor, and for the exact duration it is prescribed. Candid-B cream should be spread thinly and evenly over the affected area, and it should not be applied to broken or irritated skin. If there is no improvement in symptoms after several weeks of treatment, or if symptoms worsen, medical attention should be sought.
Candid-B cream, like all medications, may cause side effects in some people. Skin irritation, burning, stinging, or itching may occur at the application site.
