When should one not use Montelukast+Fexofenadine+Acebrophylline

• If you are allergic to montelukast, fexofenadine, acebrophylline
• If you have problems with your heart, liver or kidney
• If you had heart attack in the past

Common side effects of this drug are:

• Headache
• Dizziness
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Stomach pain
• Diarrhoea
• Drowsiness
• Constipation
• Fever

Other General Warnings

• You have or had any liver, kidney or heart disease or disorder.
• You are suffering from any brain-related problems
• You have any other medical condition like hyperthyroidism or asthma or hypertension, stomach or intestinal ulcer or fits and are on any medication.
• You are above 60 years of age.
• Montelukast+Fexofenadine+Acebrophylline should not be used for children below 18 years of age.

How Does It Work?

• Montelukast helps control the symptoms by blocking the actions of substances in the body called leukotrienes which cause narrowing and swelling of airways in the lungs and cause symptoms of asthma.
• Fexofenadine is an antiallergic class that works by reducing allergic symptoms like rashes, sneezing, watery eyes and a runny or blocked nose.
• Acebrophylline works by relaxing the muscles of the airway, thinning, and loosening the mucus of the airways, which makes it easy to breathe in for people with lung problems. It also has anti- inflammatory action which helps to treat any underlying cause.

Interactions with other medicines

• Some medicines can affect the way montelukast+fexofenadine+acebrophylline works or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
• Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
• Especially if you are taking antibiotics, antifungals, antacids or medicines to treat your heart problems, fits, tuberculosis, infections, medicine used to treat abnormal blood lipid levels.
