Hepatitis B, Purified Antigen vaccine is used for active immunisation against hepatitis B virus (HBV) infections caused by all known subtypes. It is suitable for use in neonates, infants, children, and adolescents up to 15 years of age who have not yet developed immunity. Immunisation with Hepatitis B, Purified Antigen vaccine is expected to help prevent hepatitis D, as hepatitis D (caused by the delta agent) cannot occur without the presence of a hepatitis B infection. Hepatitis B, Purified Antigen vaccine must be administered by a healthcare professional. To ensure effectiveness, all doses are required. It may cause injection site reactions, such as redness, swelling, pain, or fever, in some individuals. If these occur, inform your doctor of possible relief methods.
