Cyproheptadine is an anti-allergic medicine. It is used for the treatment of seasonal allergies like skin rash, cough, runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing and congested nose and for allergic conditions of skin.

- Narrow angle glaucoma
- Peptic ulcer
- Increased size of the urinary bladder
- Not being able to empty bladder completely
- Bladder neck obstruction
- Bronchial asthma

It has interactions with drugs causing drowsiness like other antihistaminics, drugs for sleep disorders or anxiety, muscle relaxants and narcotic pain relievers. Cyprohpetadine will increase the side effects of these drugs causing more drowsiness.
Dosage of Cyproheptadine
Overdose of this medicine, may lead to result in hallucinations, depression, convulsions, respiratory and cardiac arrest, and death, particularly in infants and young children. Antihistamines may reduce mental alertness, particularly in young children, they may occasionally lead to produce excitation. Inform your doctor immediately incase of overdose.

Take the missed dose as early as you remember. Skip the missed dose & do not take extra medicine due to missed dose.
