Medical Description
Ketocip Shampoo is a medicated shampoo that contains ketoconazole, a powerful antifungal medicine. It is mainly used to treat dandruff, flaky scalp, and related scalp conditions caused by fungal infections. By targeting the fungus responsible for dandruff, Ketocip Shampoo helps reduce itching, irritation, and flakiness, giving you a healthier scalp.
The active ingredient in Ketocip Shampoo, ketoconazole, works by binding to the fungal cell membrane. This process alters the permeability of the cells, which stops the fungus from growing and eventually destroys it. As the infection clears, symptoms like itching, scaling, and dryness also improve.
You should use Ketocip Shampoo only as advised by your doctor or dermatologist. Usually, it is applied once or twice a week, depending on the severity of the condition. To use it, wet your hair and scalp, apply the shampoo evenly, and gently massage to create a lather. Leave it on for 3–5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with water.
Many people notice improvement in dandruff and scalp health after a few weeks of regular use. However, it is essential to use the shampoo for the full recommended duration to prevent dandruff from returning. Overuse or daily use is not recommended unless specifically prescribed by your doctor, as it may lead to dryness or irritation.
Ketocip Shampoo is generally safe; however, in rare cases, mild side effects such as scalp irritation, dryness, or changes in hair texture may occur. If you experience any severe itching, redness, or burning sensation, consult your doctor immediately. With proper use, Ketocip Shampoo not only treats dandruff but also helps in maintaining a clean, itch-free, and healthy scalp.
