Description
Zedtime 5 mg tablet is a prescription medicine recommended to patients having insomnia, which is the inability to fall asleep. Zedtime tablet has Zolpidem as the active ingredient. Zolpidem is a s
edative-hypnotic. It works by reducing the time required for sleep onset and improves sleep quality by slowing the brain's activity. It should be taken only when you have sufficient time to sleep, at least 7 hours. Zedtime tablets can exhibit various side effects like drowsiness, tiredness, dizziness, lightheadedness, difficulty maintaining balance, nausea, constipation and diarrhoea. The tablet should only be taken with a doctor's recommendation. Usually 5 mg for women and 10 mg for men is advised by the doctor. It is usually prescribed for a shorter duration. Discontinuing the medicine abruptly can lead to withdrawal symptoms. Consult your doctor if you want to alter the dose for any reason. Zedtime can be habit-forming. - You want to drive or operate heavy machinery after taking the Zedtime tablet.

- You have withdrawal symptoms like lightheadedness, nausea, vomiting, tremors, sweating, flushing, etc.
- You have an urge to take medicine beyond the dose or duration; it has the habit-forming potential.
- You have an allergic reaction and have symptoms like hives, skin rash, swollen tongue after taking the Zedtime tablet.
- You notice or are informed that you have been waking up and indulging in some activity at night, which you cannot recall the next day.

How Does It Work?
Directions for Use of Zedtime 5 MG
- Zedtime tablets should be consumed as per the doctor’s recommendation. It is generally prescribed for a shorter duration. Do not exceed the dose without consulting the doctor.
- You can take Zedtime tablets with or without food.
- Zedtime tablets must be taken at proper timing, usually 30-45 minutes before the preferred sleeping time.
- Usually, a 10 mg dose is recommended in men and 5 mg in women.
- Take the Zedtime tablet orally with water. The tablets should not be manipulated in any way by either crushing or breaking them for use.
- Please avoid the consumption of alcohol while taking Zedtime tablets.
Interactions of Zedtime 5 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Ketoconazole (antifungal) and Erythromycin (antibiotic), which can reduce the metabolism of Zolpidem - can increase the risk of side effects.
- Rifampicin (antibiotic) can reduce the efficacy of Zolpidem.
- Codeine (given in cough), Clonazepam (given in seizures) can increase the depressive action on the nervous system.
- Acetaminophen (painkiller ) can increase the metabolism of Zolpidem.
- Chlorpromazine (antipsychotic) can increase the risk of severity of side effects.
Interactions with food items
- Avoid taking the tablet with a high-fat diet as it will decrease the absorption of Zolpidem and would certainly decrease the efficacy.
- Avoid caffeinated beverages while taking Zolpidem tablets as it can decrease the efficacy of Zedtime tablets.
