• If you have lactic acidosis (a condition causing too much acid in your body)
• If you have a diabetes complication - diabetic ketoacidosis
• If you suffer from conditions that may alter kidney parameters, such as dehydration, shock, or severe infection.
• If you are an alcoholic or consume alcohol regularly.

Overdose
