Reclide Xr 60 MG Description

Reclide-XR 60 tablet is a medicine that contains Gliclazide, which is used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults. Type 2 diabetes is a chronic condition in which the body either does not produce enough insulin or does not use insulin properly. Insulin is a hormone that helps the body's cells use glucose for energy.

Before taking Reclide-XR 60 tablet, it is important to tell your doctor about any other medications you are taking, including over-the-counter medications, herbal supplements and vitamins. You should also tell your doctor about any allergies you have and any medical conditions, such as liver or kidney disease, hormonal problems or genetic disorders.

Reclide-XR 60 tablet is not suitable for use in patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus, pregnant or breastfeeding women or children. Glizid Mr tablet, Glykind Xr tablet, Cyblex Xr tablet, Glz Xr tablet, Glycinorm Od tablet and Dianorm Od tablet also contain Gliclazide as their main ingredient.

The most common side effect of Reclide-XR 60 tablet is hypoglycemia (low blood sugar levels). Symptoms of hypoglycemia include increased hunger, sweating, shakiness, weakness or an irregular heartbeat. If you experience any of these symptoms, eat a sugary snack (such as biscuits, glucose drinks or sweet candies) immediately. If your condition does not improve, consult your doctor. Other common side effects include headache, dizziness and constipation.

Reclide-XR 60 tablet is used to treat maturity-onset diabetes and diabetes with or without obesity in adults when diet, exercise, weight loss or insulin therapy fail to provide adequate results.

Contraindications of Reclide Xr 60 MG

You may have an allergic to gliclazide or other ingredients of Reclide-XR 60 tablet.
You may have type 1 diabetes.
You may have problems with the kidney or liver.
You may have ketones and sugar in the urine.
You may have diabetic pre-coma or coma.
You are a diabetic patient undergoing surgery, after severe trauma or during infections.
You may suffer from a hereditary disease - porphyria.
Taking a medicine called miconazole to treat fungal infection.
You are breastfeeding.

Reclide-XR 60 tablet must be avoided during pregnancy as there is no or limited safety data available, please consult the doctor. If pregnancy detected while taking the medicine, inform the doctor immediately.

Breast Feeding

Can I take Reclide-XR 60 tablet while breastfeeding?

It is unknown if gliclazide passes into human milk, thus Reclide-XR 60 tablet must not be used while breastfeeding.

Driving

Can I drive after consuming Reclide-XR 60 tablet?

Reclide-XR 60 tablet cause low blood sugar levels, that leads to dizziness, drowsiness, unconsciousness, confusion. This impairs the driving ability.
