Consumption of alcohol while on treatment with Pronol 40mg tablet may increase the plasma levels of propranolol and intensify its action. Please let your doctor know if you have a habit of drinking before starting the medication.

Pronol 40mg tablet should be taken by mouth as directed by your doctor. Take medicine along with a glass of water.

Interactions of Pronol 40 MG

Interactions with other medicines

Combined use of propranolol and calcium channel blockers with negative inotropic effects (e.g., verapamil, diltiazem) will lead to low blood pressure
Concomitant use of Propranolol with Fluvoxamine can cause the lower heart rate
Concomitant use of propranolol with barbiturates will reduce the plasma levels and the effects of propranolol
Concomitant use of MAO inhibitors (except MAO-B inhibitors) with antihypertensive agents may reduce the antihypertensive effect and lead to hypertensive reactions
Concomitant use of chlorpromazine with propranolol can result in a marked rise in plasma levels of both medicines resulting in an enhanced effect of both the medicines

Store at a temperature below 20°C. Store out of reach from children. Do not throw away the unused medicine in the household trash. Instead, please ask your pharmacist for safe disposal practices.

Dosage of Pronol 40 MG

Overdose

Please go to the emergency department closest to you in case of overdose. In addition, please carry the product package with you to provide the doctor treating you with the necessary details.

Missed a Dose

If you miss a dose, please take it as soon as you realise it. Then, please skip the missed dose and take the next one if it is time for your next dose. Do not take two doses.
