Medical Description
tablet is an antibiotic medicine containing a combination of ampicillin and dicloxacillin as its active ingredients. It is used to treat bacterial infections of the lungs, throat, airways, skin, soft tissues, bones, ears, noses, and wounds after surgery caused by various organisms. This medicine acts by inhibiting the growth of bacteria, thereby killing the infection-causing bacteria.
Take tablet as prescribed by your doctor for the recommended duration, as any missed or skipped dose can lead to treatment failure and a recurrence of the infection. Inform your doctor about your past medical and medication history before initiating treatment with this medicine.
Uses
- tablet is used to treat bacterial infections of the lungs, throat, airways, skin and soft tissue, bones, ears, nose, blood, and other bacterial infections.
- It is also used to treat infection of wounds and lungs after surgery.
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to ampicillin, dicloxacillin or any of the ingredients of tablet.
- If you are allergic to similar antibiotics like cefixime, cefpodoxime, or amoxicillin.
- tablet should never be used for eye infections, and eye contact should be avoided.

- You have a history of allergy to penicillins.
- You experience serious allergic reactions and skin rashes after taking this medicine.
- You are having watery diarrhoea or severe stomach pain, immediately stop this medicine.
- You develop other infections while taking this medicine.
- You have existing kidney problems.
- You should not give tablet to newborn babies suffering from jaundice.

- Store in a dry place at a temperature of 25 °C or below.
- Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.

Overdose
- The overdose of tablet may cause serious kidney failure if you have existing kidney problems. Symptoms of overdose are nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea.
- If you think you have taken too many doses of the medicine than prescribed, inform your doctor immediately or reach the nearest hospital.
