Mode of Action

How Does It Work?

Moveril gel has Tramadol, Diclofenac, Methyl Salicylate, linseed Oil and menthol as main ingredients. Tramadol blocks pain signals from reaching various parts of the body. It blocks the pain pathways in the central nervous system by binding to specific receptors. It also increases the amount of norepinephrine and serotonin, the chemical messengers responsible for reducing pain and causing a calming effect. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) medication, which means it works as an anti-analgesic (painkiller) and antipyretic (lowers fever) medicine. It lowers the production of chemical substances like prostaglandins responsible for pain and inflammation. It also regulates body temperature by working on the hypothalamic heat-regulating centre of the brain. Methyl Salicylate is an organic compound. It acts by stimulating the superficial nerve fibres from the same spinal cord and brain that supply the underlying muscles in pain. The stimulation of these nerves results in increased blood flow to that area, which lowers the cause of pain in the deeper muscles. Linseed oil and menthol are added to the gel to lower inflammation and provide a cooling and relaxing effect on the skin.
