Description
Montech Tablet is an anti-allergic medicine used for the treatment of asthma and other allergic conditions such as a runny or blocked nose, watery eyes, itching, etc. It contains montelukast as its m
ain component. This medicine works by inhibiting the action of natural chemical substance leukotrienes responsible for allergic conditions. By blocking leukotrienes, Montelukast improves asthma symptoms, helps control asthma and improves seasonal allergy symptoms. Montech Tablet should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. - Montech Tablet is used for the treatment of asthma, which is inadequately controlled by other inhaled medications and exercise-induced asthma.

How Does It Work?
Montech Tablet contains montelukast, which works by opposing the actions of Leukotrienes. Leukotrienes cause narrowing and swelling of airways in the lungs and also cause allergy symptoms. Directions for Use
- Montech Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor.
- Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water, do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
- It can be taken with or without food.
- It would be best if you took it at a fixed time for optimal results.
- You should not consume it more than that prescribed by your doctor.
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Montech may be administered routinely with other medications used for the management and chronic treatment of asthma.
- Medicines used for the treatment of seizures or fits such as phenytoin and medicine used in the treatment of tuberculosis such as rifampicin should be used cautiously.
- Inform your doctor about all other medicines, herbal preparations and supplements you are taking before starting with Montech Tablet.
Storage and disposal
- Store Montech Tablet at room temperature in a cool dry place.
- Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

Overdose
Symptoms of an overdose of Montech Tablet include vomiting, abdominal pain, thirst, somnolence (drowsiness) and mood disorders. If you have taken too much of this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital....
Missed a Dose
If you missed any dose of Montech, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one....
