Lonopin 40 MG Description
Lonopin 40 mg injection is an anticoagulant medicine. It is used for the prevention and treatment of the formation of blood clots within the blood vessels. It is used during and after orthopaedic sur
geries, prevent the formation of a clot in the tubes of your dialysis machine and in individuals with heart conditions where a clot could be harmful. Lonopin injection contains enoxaparin as an active ingredient. You should inform your doctor if you are going for any surgery or operation or any procedure which involves epidural or spinal anaesthesia. As it can lead to the formation of clots in or around your spinal cord and can cause paralysis. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or are breastfeeding and about all the medicines and supplements you take and all the conditions or diseases you suffer from, before starting the Lonopin 40 mg injection.

- You have diabetes or problems called diabetic retinopathy (affects blood vessels of eyes).
- You have had an operation recently on your eyes or brain or spinal surgery.
- You are elderly (over 65 years old).
- You have liver problems or are underweight or overweight.
- You have been told that there are high levels of potassium in your blood.

Interactions with other medicines
- Medicines that are used to prevent or stop bleeding or can affect bleeding should be discontinued before starting with the therapy with Lonopin injection. Such medicines include aspirin, warfarin, dextran, ibuprofen, diclofenac, ketorolac and steroids. ...
- Medicines that increase potassium levels such as potassium salts, water pills and some medicines for heart problems should be used cautiously.
- Tell your doctor if you are going to have a spinal or lumbar puncture or an operation where an epidural or spinal anaesthetic is used.
