- Kodin Syrup is used in the treatment of:

Contraindications
- Do not take Kodin Syrup or caution:
- If you are allergic to any of the ingredients of Kodin Syrup
- If you have a lung disease
- If you have been diagnosed with bronchial asthma (a condition causing breathing difficulties)
- If you take any monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).
- If you have been diagnosed with paralytic ileus (a condition causing paralysis of muscles of the intestine)
- If you have an enlarged prostate

- You have a history of seizures.
- You recently had surgery, including dental surgery.
- You have been diagnosed with asthma, bronchitis, or any lung disease.
Directions for Use
- Take Kodin Syrup exactly as advised by your doctor.
- Do not exceed the dosage, even if you cannot notice the effects of this medicine.
- Measure the prescribed syrup amount using the measuring cup before consumption.
- Take this medicine with or without food.
- It is best to take Kodin Syrup at the same time every day.
- Shake the bottle well before use.

Interactions with other medicines
- Kodin Syrup can interact with certain medicines and cause adverse side effects. It is advised to inform the doctor of all medication being taken to be checked for possible interaction issues. The following medicines are known to interact with Kodin Syrup.
- Ramelteon is used for the treatment of sleeplessness. When combined with Kodin Syrup, it can cause respiratory distress, coma, or death.
- Aripiprazole is used for the treatment of bipolar disorder. When used with Kodin Syrup, it can cause serious side effects such as dizziness, confusion, coma, or even death.
- Alvimopan is used to relieve constipation after opioid therapy or bowel surgery. When combined with Kodin syrup, it can cause side effects like nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, pain in the abdomen, etc.
- Linezolid is used to treat skin infections. When used with Kodin Syrup, it can cause respiratory distress, fainting, coma, or even death.
