Growvita 1 mg tablet is a steroid reductase inhibitor. The active ingredient in the Growvita 1 mg tablet is Finasteride. Growvita 1 mg tablet is used to treat male pattern baldness, though it often t
akes several months for therapy to show results. This medicine is also used to treat enlarged prostate glands with urinary issues. It also reduces the likelihood of surgery to treat this ailment. The mode of action of Growvita 1 mg tablet is by lowering the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT) levels. Side effects of the Growvita tablets include decreased sexual desire or ability, severe allergic reactions, breast enlargement, depression, lumps, pain, or tenderness, nipple discharge, and testicular pain. You may experience decreased libido or impotence while undergoing treatment. Notify your doctor if you detect an increase in urine volume or voiding patterns. Directions for use of Growvita 1 mg tablets should be strictly followed. It is taken by mouth, with or without food, once a day or as directed by the doctor. Directions for Use
- Growvita 1 mg tablet medication works well with or without food.
- It may take at least three months of daily use of Growvita 1mg tablets before there is hair regrowth.
- The tablets must be taken daily to sustain hair regeneration. Withdrawing from therapy causes hair loss to stop in about a year.
- This medicine is only available in tablet form.
- Growvita 1 mg tablets should be used only by men - not women or children.
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Certain medicines are known to interact with Growvita 1 mg tablets.
- By inhibiting the hepatic/intestinal enzyme CYP3A4 metabolism, carbamazepine reduces the level of action of finasteride.

Storage and disposal
