Contraindications of Freedom 0.05 %

If you are allergic to clobetasol or any ingredient of this cream.
If you have any untreated skin condition or infection.
This cream should not be used for the treatment of acne, inflammation near genitals or around the mouth.
This cream should not be used in children under 1 year of age.

Can I use Freedom cream during pregnancy?

This cream can be used if prescribed by the doctor. Also, The minimum quantity should be used for the minimum duration.

Breast Feeding

Can I use Freedom cream while breastfeeding?

There is limited safety information available. It can be used if prescribed by a doctor. If used during lactation this cream should not be applied to the breasts to avoid accidental ingestion by the infant.

Driving

Can I drive if I have applied Freedom cream?

This cream does not affect your ability to drive or operate machinery.

Other General Warnings

Talk to your doctor if

You experience bone pain or worsening of previous bone symptoms during a treatment, especially if you have been using this cream for a prolonged time or repeatedly.
You use other oral/topical medication containing steroids or medication intended to control your immune system.
you have previously had an allergic reaction with another steroid.
Make sure that the skin is cleansed before a fresh dressing is applied to prevent
infections.
You should not apply the cream on broken or damaged skin or within skin folds or to a large surface area.
You are using it for psoriasis your doctor will want to see you more often.
You are using this cream for a chronic leg ulcer as you may be at increased risk of local allergic reaction or infection.
You are applying near eyes or on eyelids, as cataracts or glaucoma may result if
the cream repeatedly enters the eye.
You are applying to thin skin such as the face, as this cream may cause skin
thinning. Use on the face should be limited to 5 days.

How Does It Work?

Clobetasol present in this cream works by multiple mechanisms. It prevents the formation of natural substances that causes swelling, inflammation and itching on the skin.

Directions for Use of Freedom 0.05 %

Freedom cream should be used as directed by your doctor.
Spread the cream in a thin layer over the area of affected skin.
Wash your hands before and after application of this cream.
Do not use it more often than suggested by your doctor.
Avoid exposure to mouth, nose or eyes and any open wound and cuts.

Interactions of Freedom 0.05 %

Interactions with other medicines

It's very unlikely that other medicines will interfere with the way Freedom cream works since it is meant for external application.
However, inform your doctor about any other medicines, including herbal medicines, vitamins or supplements. you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
In particular if you are taking ritonavir (anti-HIV medicine) or itraconazole (an antifungal medicine).

Store in a cool and dry place away from light. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.

Overdose

An overdose with this cream is unlikely since it is meant for external application. In case of accidental ingestion seek immediate medical attention.

Missed a Dose

Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember. Do not overapply to compensate for the missed dose.
