Filoca Tablet is used for the treatment of a liver disease called primary biliary cirrhosis in adults.
Contraindications of Filoca 5 MG
- If you are allergic to obeticholic acid or any other ingredient of Filoca Tablet.
- If you have complete blockage of the bile ducts in your liver or gallbladder.

How Does It Work?
Filoca Tablet works by attaching to certain proteins in the liver and gut that control the production of a substance called bile. This reduces the production of bile in the liver and prevents it from building up and damaging the liver tissue....
Directions for Use of Filoca 5 MG
- Take Filoca Tablet as a whole with sufficient water.
- Always take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
- Do not consume more than the prescribed dose.
- Do not discontinue the medicine on your own without consulting your doctor.
Interactions of Filoca 5 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way Filoca Tablet works or this Tablet itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Tell your doctor about all medicines, supplements or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
- The use of Filoca Tablet with bile acid binding resins (cholestyramine, colestipol, colesevelam) may reduce the effectiveness of this Tablet.
