Medical Description

Coldaid Plus tablet is a combination medicine for short-term relief of cold-related fever, body aches, blocked nose, runny nose and sneezing. It contains paracetamol for pain and fever, phenylephrine to reduce swelling in the nasal passages, chlorpheniramine to ease allergy-related symptoms, and caffeine, which may improve alertness and support paracetamol's pain relief. These ingredients address different symptoms but do not treat the underlying cause of every cold. The tablet is taken by mouth, with or without food, and should not be combined with another product containing paracetamol unless a doctor advises it.

  • Pain and fever: Paracetamol eases mild body aches and lowers raised body temperature during cold symptoms.

How does this medicine work?

Paracetamol reduces the production of body chemicals involved in pain and fever. Phenylephrine narrows swollen blood vessels in the nose, helping open the nasal passages. Chlorpheniramine blocks histamine, a substance that causes sneezing and watery eyes. Caffeine can increase alertness and may support the pain-relieving effect of paracetamol.
