Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Concomitant administration of catecholamines and steroids with dextrose infusion can decrease glucose uptake
- Chlorpropamide, clofibrate, and carbamazepine can enhance the vasopressin effect, leading to reduced renal excretion of electrolyte free water and can cause hyponatraemia
- Antipsychotics and narcotics can also enhance the vasopressin effect, resulting in the risk of hyponatraemia
Storage and disposal
Excessive heat should be avoided. Keep at a constant room temperature. Protect from freezing. If the product contains particle matter and is cloudy or discoloured, it should be discarded.
