- Alfenece 10 mg Tablets are used in,
- Weight loss treatment in obese people

Contraindications
- If you are hypersensitive or allergic to lorcaserin or any inactive ingredients of Alfence 10 mg Tablet.
- If you are pregnant or planning a pregnanc

- You have a medical history of visual, lung, liver, or kidney disorders.
- You have a history of any mental condition.
- You have any blood disorders like sickle cell anaemia, multiple myeloma, etc.
- You take any sort of medication, vitamins or health supplements along with the Alfrence tablet, even if the supplement is ayurvedic or herbal.
- You have suicidal thoughts or experience depression after taking Alfrence Tablets.
- Your job requires you to drive or operate machinery.
- You experience symptoms of serotonin syndrome like diarrhoea, vomiting, sweating, shivering, confusion.
- You want to alter the dose of the Alfrence tablet. The medicine should be stopped with a doctor’s approval.
- You experience symptoms of heart disease or have a present history of heart disease.
- You have diabetes and are noticing a lowering of blood sugar.
- You have not lost weight in 12 weeks of treatment with Alfrenec Tablets.
Directions for Use
- Alfrence Tablet should be taken only if recommended by a doctor after reporting accurate medical history.
- Alfrence Tablet can be taken with or without food.
- Do not discontinue the Alfrence Tablet without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better than before. You should consume the Alfrence Tablet as a whole with some water. It should not be manipulated in any way by crushing or breaking for use.

Interactions with other medicines
- To avoid side effects associated with medicine interactions, it is important to inform the doctor about all medicines or supplements you are currently taking.
- Alfrence Tablet interacts with-
- Bupropion (antidepressant), dextromethorphan (cough medicine), flecainide (heart medicine), ondansetron (medicine to stop vomiting)- can decrease the metabolism of lorcaserin
- Cabergoline (given for hormonal disorder)- can increase the severity of side effects
- Linezolid (antibiotic), tramadol (painkiller)- can lead to serotonin syndrome
- Fluoxetine (antidepressant)- can increase the concentration of lorcaserin in the body
Interactions with food items
- Alfrence Tablet is not known to interact with any particular food item. A regular diet can be continued unless advised otherwise by the doctor.
