Alenix M Tablet is an antiallergic medicine. It is used to reduce and treat the symptoms of allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, a runny and stuffy nose, airway blockage, and watery eyes, which may b
e seasonal or non-seasonal. Alenix M contains montelukast and desloratadine as its active ingredients. It blocks the effects of chemical substances responsible for allergic symptoms, such as histamine and leukotriene. It should be taken as directed by the doctor, in the correct doses, and for the exact duration as prescribed. You may take it with or without food. You may experience side effects like sleepiness, dizziness, nausea, headache after taking side effects to your doctor if they Alenix M Tablet. - A chemical called leukotriene, when released in the human body, produces swelling in the airway, inflammation in the lungs (oedema and damage), and windpipe muscle contractions. Montelukast Tablet works by blocking the effect of this chemical and also improves breathing....

Directions for Use
- Take Alenix M Tablet with sufficient water. You can consume it with or without food. Don't break, cut or chew this medicine.
- You should take this medicine regularly, at the same time and without fail as directed by your doctor.
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Concomitant use of the Tablet along with medicines used to treat fits or epilepsy (phenytoin), anxiety or sleeplessness (phenobarbital), tuberculosis and other infections (rifampicin) decreases the effectiveness of the Tablet and must be used with caution....
- Concomitant use of the medicine with gemfibrozil (used to lower fats or cholesterol levels in the body) may increase the side effects of Alenix M Tablet.
- Some medicines affect the way Alenix M Tablet works, or the medicine itself reduces the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Inform the physician regarding the medicines, supplements or herbals you take or might take to avoid possible interaction.
Storage and disposal
- Store Alenix M Tablet below 25°C in the original package away from sunlight and moisture.
- Keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children and pets.
- Do not throw away any medicines in the toilet or pour them into the drain, discard them properly.
