Contraindications

When should one not use Mometasone

If you are allergic to Mometasone.
If you have a nasal infection that has not been treated yet.
If you have an unhealed wound of the nose due to injury or surgery.

Side effects

Common side effects of this drug are:

Bleeding from nose
Burning sensation in nose
Irritation in nose
Ulceration in nose
Irritation of throat
Headache
Infection of upper airways

Pregnancy

Can I use Mometasone during pregnancy?

This medicine is to be used locally only, and there is a lower risk of systemic absorption. Still, this medicine should be used under medical supervision by a pregnant woman.

Breast Feeding

Can I take Mometasone while breastfeeding?

This medicine is to be used locally only, and there is a lower risk of absorption into breast milk and blood. Still, this medicine should be used under medical supervision by a lactating woman.

Driving

Can I drive if I have used Mometasone?

Limited information is available on the effect of this medicine on driving. Do not drive if you are feeling any side effects.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Mometasone?
