Interactions with other medicines

  • Paracetamol may prolong the effect of anticoagulants like warfarin and increase the risk of bleeding
  • Metoclopramide and domperidone may increase the speed of absorption of paracetamol
  • Colestyramine may reduce the absorption of paracetamol if given within one hour of paracetamol
  • Concomitant use of two or more NSAIDs should be avoided as they increase the risk of gastric bleeding
  • Concomitant use of NSAIDs with antihypertensives may reduce the efficacy of antihypertensive
  • The activity of diuretics may be inhibited in the presence of aceclofenac
  • The use of NSAIDs may exacerbate cardiac failure, reduce glomerular filtrate rate and inhibit renal clearance of glycoside
