Mybact Ear Drop is used to treat ear infections. It may include symptoms like redness and swelling of the external and middle part of the ear, fluid mixed with pus discharge, hearing loss etc.

Contraindications of Mybact Ear Drop 5 Ml

If you are allergic to Mybact Ear Drop or any component of this medicine.
If you are suffering from any psychiatric disorders, fits (epilepsy).
If you have any kind of systemic infection (means affecting the entire body) like blood pressure, flu, fever, etc.

Side effects of Mybact Ear Drop 5 Ml

Mild irritation inside the ear.
Burning or stinging sensation in the ear after application of Mybact Ear Drop.

Pregnancy

Can I use Mybact Ear Drop during pregnancy?

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Mybact Ear Drop?

Alcohol is not known to interact with this medicine. However, if you consume alcohol too often, then discuss it with your doctor.

Other General Warnings

Talk to your doctor if

You feel persistent irritation, discontinue the use of this medicine and talk to your physician.
Try not to touch the nozzle of the container in order to avoid contamination.
You should use the ear drops within one month once the container is opened.
You experience any allergic reactions after using Mybact Ear Drop, inform your doctor immediately.
You develop any other infections after using these ear drops.
You do not notice any improvement in your condition after using this medicine.
If you find any foreign particle inside the container replace it with another one.
Do not use this medicine for any condition other than prescribed by your doctor.
Do not use Mybact Ear Drop more than the prescribed duration.
In case your eyes come in contact with this medicine, rinse your eyes with clean water immediately. If you still feel any discomfort, rush to your doctor immediately.

How Does It Work?

Mybact Ear Drop provide relief in pain and discomfort caused by infections. It stops the infection from spreading.
Beclomethasone is a steroid medicine that reduces redness, swelling and irritation.
Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic medicine that controls bacterial infection.
Clotrimazole is an antifungal agent that stops fungal growth by altering the permeability of the cell wall.
Lidocaine is a local anaesthetic agent that works by blocking the pain sensations temporarily and offers pain relief.

Directions for Use of Mybact Ear Drop 5 Ml

Use Mybact Ear Drop as directed by your doctor.
Follow all the directions carefully and do not miss any doses.
Read the instructions on the label before usage.
Shake well before use.
Wash your hands thoroughly before and after instilling Mybact Ear Drop.
Use the exact number of drops recommended.
Dispense the dose with gentle pressure in order to avoid overdose.
Tilt the head towards one side and place drops in the ear canal.
Keep head tilted for 2-3 minutes to let the drops soak in the ear.
Repeat for the other ear if required after 5-10 minutes.
Avoid touching the tip of the container directly to the infected area.

Overdose

As Mybact Ear Drop are meant for application in the ear, cases of overdose are unlikely. However, upon accidental ingestion, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.

Missed a Dose

If you have missed using Mybact Ear Drop, then instil the drops as soon as you remember if the next installation is more than 4 hours later.
If it is almost time for the next installation, then skip the missed dose and instil the drops at the time of the next dose as planned.
Do not overuse this medicine to compensate for the missed dose.
If you miss the dose frequently then it may lead to treatment failure.
