Mode of Action

How Does It Work?

Kidylinctus Syp contains a combination of 3 active ingredients: promethazine, pholcodine, and phenylephrine. Promethazine belongs to a group of antihistamines and controls chemical messengers (histamines) released when an allergy develops. It reduces cough response in the presence of allergies. Pholcodine is related to codeine and morphine and works by depressing the cough centre in the brain. Phenylephrine is a decongestant and constricts blood vessels around nasal pathways, helping relieve symptoms like runny nose, allergic conjunctivitis, congestion, and low blood pressure. In combination, Kidylinctus Syp helps relieve dry, non-mucus producing cough caused by an allergy.
