Mode of Action

How Does It Work?

Beclate Inhaler stops chemical messengers from being released by cells in the lungs and breathing passages, which induce inflammation (swelling) of the airways. This opens up the airways and makes it simpler to breathe.

Interactions

Interactions with other medicines

  • Beclomethasone is less dependent on CYP3A metabolism than some other corticosteroids, interactions are unlikely. However, the possibility of systemic effects with concomitant use of strong CYP3A inhibitors (e.g. ritonavir, cobicistat) cannot be ruled out, so use with caution and appropriate monitoring is recommended.
