Medical Description

Melamet cream is a skin-lightening treatment for conditions like melasma (brown patches on the skin) and age spots. It works by reducing melanin production, the pigment that causes skin darkening. This cream combines mometasone, tretinoin, and hydroquinone.

Use it exactly as prescribed by your dermatologist for short periods, as it contains a steroid. Avoid sun exposure after application. Common side effects include burning, irritation, itching, and redness. Inform your doctor about any other skin medications you're using and consult them before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.

Eukroma Plus, Melabest, Melacare cream and Clear Skin are some other medicines that combine mometasone, tretinoin and hydroquinone as active substances.
