Glycomet Gp 2mg Strip Of 15 Tablets
Medical Description
Glycomet GP 2 tablet is an anti-diabetic medicine used for managing type 2 diabetes mellitus. It contains glimepiride and metformin, which work by increasing insulin secretion, optimising insulin utilisation, decreasing glucose production and reducing its absorption. This results in reduced blood sugar levels and helps control type 2 diabetes.
Before starting Glycomet GP 2 tablet, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history. Also, inform the doctor about all other medicines and supplements you take.
Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a condition in which your pancreas does not make enough insulin to keep blood sugar levels under control and your body is also unable to use its own insulin adequately. This causes high blood sugar levels in your body, which can cause medical problems like heart disease, kidney disease, blindness and poor blood flow in your hands and legs.
Zoryl M 2 tablet, Gemer 2 tablet, Amaryl M2 tablet, Glimestar M2 tablet and Gluconorm G 2 tablet are some more medications that combine metformin and glimepiride.
Take this medicine in the exact dose and duration as recommended by your doctor. Along with taking Glycomet GP 2, it is important that you do certain lifestyle modifications like exercising regularly, avoiding smoking and drinking alcohol and having a balanced diet with adequate fruits and vegetables for adequate control of your blood sugar levels.
