- Aplaz D 0.25 mg tablets are used in the treatment of:
- Epilepsy
- Severe anxiety
- Panic disorder
Contraindications
- Aplaz D 0.25 mg tablets are contraindicated in the following conditions:
- If you have suicidal thoughts
- If you have alcohol intoxication
- If you have a history of drug abuse
- If you have been diagnosed with depression
- If you have been diagnosed with glaucoma (increased pressure in the eyes)
- If you have asthma
- If you have decreased lung function
- If you have liver problems
- If you have been diagnosed with severe liver disease
- If you have been diagnosed with sleep apnea
- If you are susceptible to breathing fluid into the lungs
- If you are pregnant
- If you have been diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
- If you have kidney disease with a likely reduction in kidney function

- Side effects of Aplaz D 0.25 mg tablets include:

- You develop an allergy to Aplaz D 0.25 mg tablets.
- You feel very sleepy, and this disturbs your daily life.
- You feel disoriented.
- You feel anxious or agitated.
- You experience involuntary eye movements, blurry vision, or involuntary muscle contractions.
- You experience reduced muscle strength.
- You experience decreased reflexes and impaired reaction time.
- You experience low blood pressure and slow breathing.
Directions for Use
- Aplaz D 0.25 mg tablets should always be consumed under a medical doctor’s supervision.
- Do not abruptly stop consuming this medicine as it can result in symptoms like nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headaches, sleeplessness. It may also lead to suicidal ideation.
- Take this tablet whole with water.
- Don’t break or smash the tablet.
- Take Aplaz D 0.25 mg tablets at a fixed time every day.

How Does It Work?
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Clonazepam in Aplaz D 0.25 mg tablets can increase the risk of serious or life-threatening breathing problems if used with certain medications. It can also progress to a coma or cause death. The following medicines interact with Aplaz D 0.25 mg tablets.
- Abacavir may increase the blood level of Clonazepam
- Adefovir may increase the blood level of Clonazepam
- Amisulpride and clonazepam should not be taken concommitantly. Clonazepam is expected to raise amisulpride levels and lead to potentially life-threatening altered heart rate.
Interactions with food items
- Avoid grapefruit juice while on treatment with Aplaz D 0.25 mg tablets; it can cause dizziness.
