Mode of Action of Zalozil 500 MG
How Does It Work?
Cefprozil belongs to the class of cephalosporin antibiotics; it works by stopping the growth of bacteria.
Directions for Use of Zalozil 500 MG
- Take the tablets in the dose and for the duration as advised by your physician
- Do not chew, break or crush the tablet
- Take the tablet as a whole with a glass of water
Interactions of Zalozil 500 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Aspartame should not be used during the course of medication of the Zalozil tablet
- Cefprozil decreases the effects of BCG, cholera and typhoid live vaccine by pharmacodynamic antagonism
- The effect of conjugated estrogen decreases when co-administered with cefprozil by alternating intestinal flora
- Furosemide, when taken with cefprozil, is known to increase the effect of cefprozil
- Ticarcillin either increases the levels of the other by decreasing renal clearance
- The effect of warfarin is increased when co-administered with cefprozil
- Aspirin and hydrochlorothiazide with cefprozil have shown increased effects
- The action of antibiotics like chloramphenicol decreases in the presence of cefprozil

- Keep the medicine in the container it came in
