Wokadine Surgical Scrub 7.5 % Cleansing Solution 50 Ml

Wokadine Surgical Scrub 7.5 % is a topical antiseptic cleansing solution containing povidone iodine. It may help cleanse minor cuts, scrapes and burns, and may be used to prepare skin before minor procedures.

Wash your hands before use. Clean the affected area, then apply the solution as advised by your doctor or directed on the label. Wash your hands after use. It is typically applied 1 to 3 times daily when advised by a doctor. If you miss an application, apply it when you remember unless it is nearly time for the next one. Do not apply extra solution.

• Mild, temporary skin irritation, redness or itching at the application site may occur.

• For external use only. Do not use inside the eyes, nose, ears or mouth.
• Do not use if you are allergic to any ingredient.
• Talk to a doctor before use if you have a thyroid condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Do not apply to the breast area while breastfeeding.
• Children should use this product only if advised by a doctor. It is generally not recommended for newborn babies.
• Do not use on deep puncture wounds, animal bites or severe burns without medical supervision.
• Avoid using it on the same area with other antiseptics, disinfectants or medicated wound-care products unless advised by a doctor.
• Avoid using products containing silver, mercury or hydrogen peroxide on the same area.
• Talk to a doctor before use if you are receiving lithium treatment or radioactive iodine treatment.
• Do not use before or after radioiodine scans or treatment for thyroid cancer without consulting a doctor.
• Do not use for more than 7 consecutive days unless a doctor tells you to do so.
• Stop use and consult a doctor if severe burning, swelling, signs of an allergic reaction, increased warmth, pus or worsening symptoms occur.
• Seek immediate medical attention if the solution is swallowed or applied over a very large area for an extended period.
• Povidone iodine may affect thyroid function tests and some tests for blood or glucose in stool or urine. Tell your doctor before testing.
• The dark reddish-brown solution may temporarily stain skin and fabrics. Do not use it if the colour has faded significantly.
• Store at 15 °C to 30 °C. Do not freeze. Keep tightly closed and away from direct sunlight, moisture and high heat.
