S Celepra is used in mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder and panic attacks as an antidepressant. OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder), a mental health c
ondition, is characterised by obsessive thought causing repeated actions. It is also used in post-traumatic stress disorder, premenstrual disorder, vasomotor symptoms of menopause. S Celepra 10 mg Tablet increases the levels of serotonin in the brain. Serotonin is a chemical messenger and controls mood, fear, and other behaviours. With active ingredient as escitalopram, it is a habit-forming medicine; hence has to be taken under supervision. Overdose of this medicine is possible when taken with other medicines with similar actions.

Contraindications of S Celepra 10 MG
- If you have hypersensitivity to escitalopram.
- If you have decreased levels of a liver enzyme that is necessary to metabolism escitalopram.
- If you are a patient with a long QT segment (an electrical property of the heart).
- If you have a family history of heart attacks.
- If you are on certain drugs, such as monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI).
- If you are on drugs that impair the metabolism of serotonin.

How Does It Work?
Directions for Use of S Celepra 10 MG
- This medicine can be taken with or without food.
- You may swallow the tablet with water or dissolve in the water and then drink it.
- The frequency and duration of the medicine will be decided by the doctor as per the age and severity of the patient.
- You should not increase or decrease the dose on your own as this can have serious complications.

Interactions with other medicines
- Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI) like phenelzine; antidepressants, tramadol, tryptophan, buspirone, amphetamines.
- Drugs that impair the metabolism of serotonin, such as intravenous methylene blue.
Interactions with food items
- Grapefruit: Grapefruit or juice should not be consumed with this medicine as side effects like headache, nausea, and vomiting can be experienced.
