S Celepra is used in mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder and panic attacks as an antidepressant. OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder), a mental health c

ondition, is characterised by obsessive thought causing repeated actions. It is also used in post-traumatic stress disorder, premenstrual disorder, vasomotor symptoms of menopause. S Celepra 10 mg Tablet increases the levels of serotonin in the brain. Serotonin is a chemical messenger and controls mood, fear, and other behaviours. With active ingredient as escitalopram, it is a habit-forming medicine; hence has to be taken under supervision. Overdose of this medicine is possible when taken with other medicines with similar actions.

If you have hypersensitivity to escitalopram.
If you have decreased levels of a liver enzyme that is necessary to metabolism escitalopram.
If you are a patient with a long QT segment (an electrical property of the heart).
If you have a family history of heart attacks.
If you are on certain drugs, such as monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI).
If you are on drugs that impair the metabolism of serotonin.

Breast Feeding

Can I take S Celepra tablet while breastfeeding?

A small amount of escitalopram (active ingredient) passes through mother’s milk. In very few cases, these babies show side effects like agitation. But still, if your doctors recommend taking this medicine, one should, as a mother’s mental condition is very important for the baby's growth.

Driving

Can I drive if I have taken S Celepra Tablet?

No. You should not drive if you have taken S Celepra because this medicine induces dizziness, drowsiness, and sleep. This can increase the tendency of accidents post-consumption. So it's not recommended to consume S Celepra 10 mg tablets while driving.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with the S Celepra?

No. One should not consume alcohol with S Celepra tablet as the person can experience a lack of concentration, dizziness and drowsiness.
