How Does It Work?
Sneezy syrup contains three medicines with different mechanisms; paracetamol helps relieve the pain by inhibiting the prostaglandins mechanism and preventing pain sensation. Chlorpheniramine is an anti-allergic medication that works by inhibiting histamine, which produces allergic reactions. Finally, phenylephrine is a nasal decongestant that acts on the alpha-1 adrenoreceptors; the action results in vasoconstriction and releasing the mucus from the sinus cavities....
Directions for Use of Sneezy Syrup 60ml
- Take this medication in the dose and for the duration as prescribed by your doctor
- Give this to your children in the metered cap attached to the bottle
- Do not use any other measuring device, such as a different spoon or caps
Interactions of Sneezy Syrup 60ml
Interactions with other medicines
- Do not use this medication with sedatives
- Monoamine oxidase inhibitors should be avoided with this tablet as they may lead to dangerous drug interaction and may lead severe side effects
- Barbiturates, antidepressants, antipsychotics or medicines should be avoided as they cause sleep as they interact with sneezy syrup
- Non-prescription cold and cough preparations can intensify the side effects
- Anti-epilepsy medicines when given with this syrup increases the chances of having severe side effects
- Concomitant use of paracetamol with anti-coagulants like warfarin may increase the effect of warfarin and increases the risk of bleeding
- Co-administration of metoclopramide, and domperidone may increase the speed of absorption of paracetamol
- Concurrent use of hypnotics or anxiolytics may increase the sedative effect
