- The use of Armod is mainly for sleep disorders due to narcolepsy (a condition that causes excessive daytime sleepiness )
- It may also help with:
- Obstructive sleep apnea (periods of stopped breathing during sleep)
- Shift work sleep disorder (keep one awake during scheduled working hours in people who work at night or have shift rotations preventing them from having a regular sleep routine).

- You have ever had heart problems such as chest pain or irregular heartbeat after taking a stimulant such as amphetamines.
- You are pregnant or plan to get pregnant.
- You have or have had any personal or family history of substance use disorder.
Directions for Use
- Armod should be taken exactly as directed.
- Armod is taken by oral route.
- It should be taken as per the doctor’s dosing schedule. It is usually taken once a day in the morning for narcolepsy or obstructive sleep apnea and usually one hour before the start of your shift to treat shift work sleep disorder.
- Armod should be taken preferably around the same time every day as per the doctor’s dosing schedule.
- Do not change the time of consumption without consulting the doctor.

Interactions with other medicines
- Avoid the use of Armod with blood thinners (anticoagulants) such as warfarin.
- You should also inform your doctor if you are taking the mentioned medications:
- Antibiotics like cyclosporine, erythromycin, antifungals like ketoconazole.
- Medications used for anxiety issues like diazepam (Valium).
- Medications used to treat acidity of the stomach, such as omeprazole.
- Certain medications for treating seizures (fits) such as carbamazepine, phenobarbital, phenytoin, midazolam.
- Antidepressants (MAOI) such as isocarboxazid, phenelzine, selegiline, and tranylcypromine.
Interactions with food items
- Consult your doctor regarding the consumption of grapefruit and grapefruit juice while taking this medicine.
