Mode of Action
How Does It Work?
- Paracetamol and diclofenac works by inhibiting the action of certain chemical substances (prostaglandins) by blocking an enzyme responsible for prostaglandin synthesis. It is responsible for pain and inflammation; thus helps to ease pain and reduce the swelling.
- Dicyclomine acts via two mechanisms. It is an antispasmodic agent which acts on smooth muscles of uterus, urethra, intestine and bile duct and helps in relieving pain. It relaxes the muscles and improves the cramps and spasm.
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way Spasmodart tablet works, or Spasmodart itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements, or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
- Especially if you are taking medicines to treat high blood pressure, heart failure, high/abnormal cholesterol levels, blood thinners, anti-infectives, anti-diabetics, anti-asthmatics, anti-allergic, pain killers, immunomodulatory medicines or medicines for the brain-related disorder.
- Concurrent use of this medicine along with blood thinners like warfarin and with antivitamin K can increase the risk of bleeding thus you should be cautious.
