Pantocid 40 MG Description

Pantocid Powder For Injection is an acidity medicine It contains Pantoprazole as an active ingredient. It helps in reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach. Pantocid tablet is used for the

treatment of ulcer & acid reflux disease. Pantocid tablet reduces the symptom of heartburn, acidity and discomfort in the stomach. It works by reducing the amount of acid produced by the stomach. This injection will be given by a doctor or nurse in a hospital/clinic. You may experience constipation, loose motion, headaches, bloating, stomach pain, feeling sick. These side effects are usually mild and go away, but if they persist for a long time talk to your doctor immediately.

  • If you are on antiviral medicines like rilpivirine, atazanavir.

  • You are taking painkillers or anti-HIV medicine.
  • You have weak or brittle bones. Taking this medicine for long-term treatment may increase the chances of developing bone fractures.
  • If you are on this medicine for more than three months, your blood magnesium levels may drop. Your doctor may perform regular tests for the same.
  • On exposure to the sun, you get a rash on your skin, stop your treatment with Pantoprazole and inform your doctor as this may be a symptom of Subacute Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus (SCLE).
  • You have low levels of vitamin B12 (like Cobalamin). This medicine is known to reduce the absorption of vitamin B12 after long-term use.
