he treatment of tuberculosis. It is typically given with other medications as a way to prevent the spread of the infection. Tuberculosis is a potentially serious infection that infects the lungs primarily, and can spread from one infected person to another through air droplets. It is caused by a bacterium called Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The mode of action of Isonex 100 mg is that it kills the bacteria that is responsible for the infection. It is advisable to always take Isonex 100 mg Tablet as and when prescribed by your doctor. Stopping the medication earlier can lead to the infection coming back or the treatment becoming ineffective. It can also cause the body to develop resistance to the antibiotic. Some common side effects of Isonex 100 mg are tingling and numbness of the extremities, jaundice, increased liver enzymes, dark urine, loss of appetite, fatigue, nausea, etc.

Directions for Use
- Isonex 100 mg tablets must be taken as and when directed by your doctor.
- Take Isonex 100 mg Tablet at the same time every day to ensure that a constant level of medication is maintained in the blood.
- Swallow Isonex 100 mg Tablet as a whole with a glass of water. Do not break, crush or chew the tablet; this can reduce its efficacy.
- Isonex 100 mg Tablet should be taken on an empty stomach and one or two hours before you have a meal. Food decreases the absorption of this medication.
- Do not alter the dosage of Isonex 100 mg Tablet without consulting with your doctor. Talk to your doctor if you feel that your prescribed dosage isn’t working for you.
- Do not stop Isonex 100 mg Tablet without consulting your doctor.

- Isonex 100 mg Tablets are known to interact with the following medicines:
- Pimozide (medication to control uncontrolled movements and sounds as seen in Tourette syndrome) - changes in heart rhythm
- Lovastatin (medication used in the treatment of high blood cholesterol) - increases risk of myopathy (muscle pain) and muscle breakdown due to Lovastatin.
- Halothane (medication used to induce or maintain anaesthesia) - causes liver problems
- Teriflunomide (medication in the treatment of multiple sclerosis, a disabling disease of the brain and spine) - Teriflunomide may cause liver problems, and using it with other medications that can also affect the liver such as isoniazid may increase that risk....
- Citalopram (medication in the treatment of depression)- increases the risk of certain side effects, including an irregular heart rhythm that may be serious or life-threatening.
- Carbamazepine (medication in the treatment of seizures) - increases the effects of Carbamazepine including nausea, visual disturbances, dizziness, or loss of muscle coordination.
