Medical Description

Freedase 30 tablet is a combined oral contraceptive containing two hormones ethinyl estradiol and dienogest which is used in the prevention of pregnancy. Take this tablet one every day as directed by your doctor. Some common side effects observed on taking this medicine are headache, enlargement of the breast, and bleeding between periods may occur.

This medicine may increase the risk of blood clots and thus should be used with caution in those who have a tendency or history of blood clots. Freedase 30 tablet is not recommended in women over 35 years of age and who smoke, as cigarette smoking increases the risk of serious heart-related problems. This medicine should not be given to women whose BMI is below 30 kg/m2.

Stop Freedase 30 immediately if you become pregnant or experience heavy uterine bleeding. Freedase 30 can also be used to regularise periods, reduce the heavy blood flow and pain during the menstrual cycle and treat acne caused due to hormonal imbalance

  • If you are allergic to dienogest and/or ethinyl estradiol or any other ingredient in Freedase 30.
  • If you have or ever have had blood clot in your legs (deep vein thrombosis),in your lungs (pulmonary embolism) or other organs
  • If you have disorders that affect your blood clotting
  • If you have undergone any surgery due to which you cannot walk
  • If you have had heart attack or stroke or its symptoms like severe chest pain, jaw pain
  • If you are suffering from disorders like high blood sugar, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and high levels of homocysteine all of which make you prone for clots in your blood vessels
  • If you suffer from a type of migraine known as migraine with aura
  • If you have or ever had a liver tumour or any form of liver disease
  • If you have breast cancer or cancer of the female reproductive organs
  • If you have unexplained bleeding from the vagina( female reproductive part) or you lack periods (amenorrhea)
