Medical Description
Clone 1 mg tablet is an anti-epileptic/anti-seizure medicine used to treat seizure(fits) disorders and relieve anxiety. It is a prescription medicine used in the treatment of Absence seizures and myoclonic seizures. It is also used to relieve anxiety symptoms in anxiety disorders and panic disorders. It has Clonazepam as its active ingredient, which belongs to a class of medicine called Benzodiazepines.
GABA is gamma-aminobutyric acid, a naturally occurring chemical messenger(inhibitory neurotransmitter) in the brain responsible for suppressing brain activity.Clonazepam(Clone 1 mg tablet) acts on GABA-A receptors(gamma aminobutyric acid) in the brain and inhibits the excessive activity of the brain cells, therefore suppressing seizures(fits). Benzodiazepines produce sedation, drowsiness and relaxed muscle tone. Epilepsy or seizure(fits) is sudden uncontrollable excessive nerve(brain cell) activity in the brain associated with movements and changes in your consciousness.
A doctor can only make the diagnosis of epilepsy/seizure disorder. Your doctor should recommend the dose and duration of Clone 1mg tablet.
The common side effects of the tablet are sedation,drowsiness,loss of coordination,fatigue,memory problems,tremors,visual disturbances,confusion,urinary problems,palpitations,dehydration,chest discomfort and running nose.Do not stop the medicine abruptly or skip the doses, or overdose. The medicine should not be stopped even if you feel well. The doctor will slowly reduce the dose if it is no longer required. Sudden stoppage of the medicine can result in seizures(fits) and withdrawal symptoms like psychosis, tremors, hallucinations and behavioral changes.
The caregivers or family members are advised to closely monitor the patients for any behavioral changes or mood changes(feelings/thoughts). Do not give Clone 1 mg tablet to anyone who has the same symptoms or does not use it for any other condition. The doctor might advise you to undergo regular blood count evaluation and liver function tests if you take the medicine for a longer duration.

- 4) If you have or have had depression, mood problems, or behavioral problems.

- 5)You have a history of alcoholism.
- 6)You are pregnant or planning to conceive or are a nursing mother.
- 7)If you have any medical condition or are debilitated.
- 8)If you have an eye disease called acute angle-closure glaucoma(increased pressure in the eye which causes visual disturbances).
- 9)Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription and non-prescription medicines. Do not start or stop other medicines without talking to your doctor.
Directions for Use
- The tablet should be taken in the dose and for the duration recommended by your doctor.
- The tablet should be taken orally with or without food with a glass of water, preferably at the same time daily.
- Do not chew, crush or dissolve the tablet.
- Do not skip the dose or overdose. You may develop seizures(fits) if you skip the medicine's dose.
- In case of any side effects or serious allergic skin reactions following consumption of the medicine, report to the emergency department immediately.
- It should never be given to anyone other than the individual for whom it was prescribed.
- Overdosage can be life-threatening.
Storage and disposal
Store at controlled room temperature away from light and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets. Discard the medicine properly in case it expires or is no longer needed.

If you have overdosed, look for symptoms like drowsiness, low blood pressure, dizziness, fast or irregular heartbeat, fits or breathing difficulties. Report to the emergency or call for medical help immediately if you experience any of the above signs or symptoms. Overdosage of the medicine can be life-threatening. Do not overdose because of this medicine's high risk of habit forming (addiction) potential.
Missed a Dose
In case you miss a dose, take the next dose as soon as you remember. If it's near the time of your next dose, skip the dose. Avoid doubling up the dose to catch up.

Clone 1mg Tablet contains Clonazepam which acts on GABA-A receptors in the brain.GABA is gamma-aminobutyric acid, a naturally occurring inhibitory neurotransmitter (chemical messenger) present in the brain responsible for inhibiting abnormal excessive brain activity(inhibitory neurotransmitter). Clonazepam selectively facilitates the action of GABA in the brain and thus produces sleep, suppresses excessive brain activity, relaxes muscle tone and relieves anxiety.
