Antidep 75 mg tablet is used to treat depression, a mental health condition that causes persistent feelings of sadness and loss of interest in activities once enjoyed. This medicine is also often prescribed to children as a treatment for bedwetting.
The active ingredient in Antidep is imipramine. Antidep belongs to the tricyclic antidepressants (TCA) class of drugs. It works by increasing the levels of healthy mood hormones in the body and blocking some muscles' action, which helps treat bedwetting in children. Antidep 75 mg tablets bring about specific changes in the brain's chemical messengers, leading to an increase in the levels of hormones responsible for decreasing sadness, elevating mood, and bringing relaxation.
Common side effects of Antidep 75 mg tablets include nausea, vomiting, delirium, and sleepiness. This medicine must be taken on under the supervision of a medical doctor.

Overdose
Symptoms of overdose include low blood pressure, excessive drowsiness, confusion, comatose condition, unsteadiness, restlessness, agitation, stiffness of muscles, convulsions, fast and irregular heartbeat, heart failure, difficulty in passing urine or stopping of urine, and breathing failure. Call for emergency services if you experience any of these symptoms.
Missed a Dose
If you have forgotten to take a dose and recall within a short while of missing it, you can take it so long the mandatory gap between two doses is maintained. Your doctor shall guide you on how much gap is essential between the two doses. You should be careful to keep that gap even if you forget a dose. Do not double the number of tablets to compensate for the missed dose. Taking double doses may cause serious adverse reactions.

It acts by increasing certain hormones in the brain, such as 5-hydroxytryptamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine. Antidep 75 mg tablets start working within a few minutes of taking it and stay in the blood for a long time. Therefore, the dose is adjusted significantly for older adults.
Antidep 75 mg tablets are used to treat severe depression or when other medicines to treat this condition have not worked. Antidep 75 mg tablets work by helping elevate mood and remove sadness, anger and nervousness.
This is due to the blocking effect of Antidep 75 mg tablets on a hormone responsible for the involuntary action of muscles. This helps in stopping the unintentional passing of urine during sleep in children. It is also used as part of the therapy for treating bedwetting in children above 6 or 7 years of age.

- Monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) antidepressants such as isocarboxazid and phenelzine

- Central nervous system depressants such as barbiturates, benzodiazepines, or general anaesthetics
- Drugs used to reduce nervous tension such as thioridazine, thiothixene, clozapine, chlorpromazine and risperidone
- Antihypertensives such as reserpine, clonidine, guanethidine, and alpha methyldopa
- Anticholinergic agents such as phenothiazine, cetirizine, atropine, and biperiden
- Medicines used to treat Parkinson's disease
- Sympathomimetic drugs such as adrenaline, noradrenaline, isoprenaline, phenylephrine, and phenylpropanolamine
- Painkillers like tramadol, opioids, fentanyl, ibuprofen, and ketorolac
- Calcium channel blockers like diltiazem and verapamil
