Amicon Forte Tablets
Description
Amicon Forte tablet is a combination medicine used for the treatment of anxiety disorders or the short-term relief of symptoms of anxiety, withdrawal symptoms of acute alcoholism, and pre-operative a
pprehension and anxiety. The active ingredients in Amicon Forte tablets are Amitriptyline (tricyclic antidepressant) and Chlordiazepoxide (benzodiazepine anxiolytic). The amitriptyline component of Amicon Forte tablets is used for treating pain, (neuralgic) nerve pain, back pain, and migraine attacks. It is also used in depression. Chlordiazepoxide has anti-anxiety, sedative, appetite-stimulating, and weak analgesic actions. The mode of action of Amicon Forte tablets is through its two components. Amitriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant, which increases the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that help in regulating mood and treating depression. This medicine has a calming effect on various brain functions and helps treat anxiety. Directions for use of Amicon Forte tablets should be strictly followed. It should always be consumed under a medical doctor’s supervision. Conditions such as diabetes, heart diseases, liver conditions, menstrual issues, pregnancy, breastfeeding should be discussed with the prescribing doctor.
