Tofajak 5 MG Description

Tofajak 5 mg tablet contains tofacitinib as its active ingredient. It is used for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis. Tofajak 5 works by decreasing the inflammatory response, thereby reducing pain and inflammation in joints and slowing further damage. It is a prescription medicine and must be taken as advised by the rheumatologist or specialised doctor. Tofajak 5mg Tablet carries an increased risk of serious infections, which can be life-threatening and may include tuberculosis, fungal infections and Bacterial, viral, including herpes zoster, and other infections due to opportunistic pathogens. Patients taking immunosuppressants or with chronic/recurrent infections should use this medication with caution. If a serious infection occurs, Tofajak 5mg Tablet should be stopped by the doctor until it is controlled. Close monitoring for infection signs and symptoms is essential during and after treatment, including screening for tuberculosis in patients who previously tested negative.
