Rifaxigyl M tablet is an antibiotic medicine. It contains a combination of metronidazole and rifaximin as active substances. It is used to treat diarrhoea and dysentery caused by various organisms. It works by preventing the growth of bacteria. Rifaxigyl M tablet should not be used in children below 18 years of age. Take this medicine in the correct doses and for the exact duration as prescribed by the doctor. You should always complete the entire course of treatment with antibiotics to prevent the risk of re-infection. It should be taken with food to avoid stomach discomfort. Before using Rifaxigyl M tablet, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.
