Uses
- Oflox 0.3% Eye Oint 5gm uses include treatment of bacterial infections of the eye in addition to conjunctivitis and ulceration in the cornea.
- However, Oflox 0.3% Eye Oint 5gm does not treat viral infections.
Contraindications
Side effects
- Changes in vision with pain behind the eye, itching and redness in the eye might be seen.
- Ringing sound in the ears and headache, indicating increased pressure in the skull.
- Allergy to Oflox 0.3% Eye Oint 5gm can cause fever, chills, rashes, difficulty in breathing and swelling of face, lips, throat. This condition calls for urgent medical attention.
- Damage to tendons and nerve can be permanent, resulting in numbness, tingling, burning, pain, tremors, altered sensation and snapping of joints.
- Fainting, breathing slowly or fast, chest pain and headache with an increased heartbeat, fits, bleeding, rashes on the skin leading to ulceration, bloody mucous diarrhoea are few other rare Oflox 0.3% Eye Oint 5gm side effects.

- In cases of mental disorders, diabetes or reduced blood sugar levels, or illnesses causing weakness of muscles like myasthenia gravis, or liver and kidney diseases, you should consult your doctor before using Oflox 0.3% Eye Oint 5gm.

- Oflox 0.3% Eye Oint 5gm interacts with other antibiotics such as levofloxacin, norfloxacin, gemifloxacin and moxifloxacin, causing increased side effects.
- Diuretics; blood thinners such as warfarin, theophylline and methotrexate; painkillers such as diclofenac, indomethacin, aspirin, and naproxen; and other drugs for depression and psychological problems interact with Oflox 0.3% Eye Oint 5gm.
