Dibeta GB is an anti-diabetic medication used to treat high blood sugar levels in patients with Type 2 Diabetes mellitus. The medication is a combination of metformin and glyburide, which prevents hi

Interactions of Dibeta Strip Of 10 Tablets

Interactions with other medicines

Dibeta GB can interact with carbonic anhydrase inhibitor, which is used for glaucoma and can cause lactic acidosis
It is not advisable to use this medication with bosentan, which can elevate the liver enzymes
Diuretics, when used with Dibeta GB, can cause hyperglycemia
NSAIDs, when given with metformin, it increases the risk of lactic acidosis
Inhibitors of organic cation transporters 1, such as verapamil, may reduce the efficacy of metformin
Inducers of organic cation transporters 1, such as rifampicin, increase gastrointestinal absorption and the effectiveness of metformin
H2 antagonists and beta-blockers may lead to either potentiation or weakening of the blood-glucose-lowering effect
Concomitant use of carbonic anhydrase inhibitor with Dibeta GB tablet increases the risk for lactic acidosis
