- Take the medication in the dose and for the duration advised by your doctor
- Do not chew, crush or break the tablet in half
- Swallow the tablet as a whole with a glass of water
- Do not stop the medication treatment if your symptoms decrease
Interactions of Dibeta Strip Of 10 Tablets
Interactions with other medicines
- Dibeta GB can interact with carbonic anhydrase inhibitor, which is used for glaucoma and can cause lactic acidosis
- It is not advisable to use this medication with bosentan, which can elevate the liver enzymes
- Diuretics, when used with Dibeta GB, can cause hyperglycemia
- NSAIDs, when given with metformin, it increases the risk of lactic acidosis
- Inhibitors of organic cation transporters 1, such as verapamil, may reduce the efficacy of metformin
- Inducers of organic cation transporters 1, such as rifampicin, increase gastrointestinal absorption and the effectiveness of metformin
- H2 antagonists and beta-blockers may lead to either potentiation or weakening of the blood-glucose-lowering effect
- Concomitant use of carbonic anhydrase inhibitor with Dibeta GB tablet increases the risk for lactic acidosis
