I-Pill | Emergency Contraceptive Pill For Women | Levonorgestrel Tablet 1 Nos (Pack Of 3)

i-Pill is an oral emergency contraceptive for women that contains levonorgestrel. It is intended as a backup after unprotected sex or when a regular birth control method fails. When taken as soon as possible, ideally within 72 hours, it may help prevent pregnancy. It works mainly by preventing or delaying the release of an egg and may also reduce the chance of fertilisation. It is not for regular contraception and does not provide ongoing protection.

• Take one tablet by mouth as soon as possible after unprotected sex or birth control failure, ideally within 72 hours.
• Swallow it whole with a full glass of water. Do not crush, break or chew the tablet.
• It may be taken with or without food. Taking it with food may help reduce nausea and stomach upset.
• Use condoms or another barrier method for sexual activity until your next menstrual cycle starts because i-Pill does not provide ongoing protection.

• Temporary nausea, tiredness or changes in the monthly period may occur.

• Do not take i-Pill if you are already pregnant. It will not end an existing pregnancy.
• Talk to a doctor before use if you have severe liver damage, liver or kidney disease, unexplained vaginal bleeding, heart problems or think you may be pregnant.
• Tell your doctor about all medicines you take. Some medicines used for epilepsy or tuberculosis may make i-Pill less effective.
• If you vomit within 2 hours of taking the tablet or develop severe lower abdominal pain, contact a doctor promptly.
• Avoid alcohol immediately after taking the tablet because it may increase nausea and trigger vomiting.
• Do not drive or operate machinery if you feel tired or dizzy.
• Check the blister before use. Do not take the tablet if the blister is torn, punctured or damaged.
• Store at 20 °C to 25 °C in the original blister, protected from direct light and moisture.
• If your next period is delayed by more than 1 week, take a pregnancy test.
• Do not use it frequently or as a replacement for regular birth control.
• It is not recommended for anyone under 16 years of age unless a doctor decides it is needed.
• If you take more than the recommended dose, seek immediate medical attention or contact a poison control centre.
