Soltus 100 MG Description
Soltus tablets belong to a group of medications known as antipsychotics. The main ingredient is Amisulpride. It is used to treat symptoms of schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is characterised by disturbed behaviour and altered thoughts and feelings. Soltus tablets are only prescribed by a well-trained physician and should be strictly used under his guidance only. The dosage system varies from person to person along with the symptoms, sex of a person, age, weight etc.
Knowledge of a patient's medical history is essential before prescribing Soltus tablets. Patients with diseases of heart, liver and kidney should use this medication with caution under the guidance of their doctor. Diabetic patients should also take medical consultation before using Soltus tablets capsules as this medication can elevate their sugar levels.
This medication should not be overused as it can cause fatal side effects. This medication generally affects our central nervous system and restores the chemical imbalances of certain chemicals in our nerve cells. Mode of Action of Soltus 100 MG
How Does It Work?
Soltus tablets contain Amisulpride as the main constituent. It works by decreasing the excessive activity of dopamine, which is a neurotransmitter in our central nervous system. It does so by blocking the receptors, which are associated with dopamine.
Amisulpride falls under the category of atypical antipsychotics. It improves the negative symptoms of schizophrenia by its activity. It retains a high affinity for dopamine two and three receptors in our central nervous system. It is not a sedative, and the risk of weight gain and metabolic complications is low while using Amisulpride. It is absorbed orally and excreted in the urine in an unchanged form....

- It can be taken on an empty stomach with a glass of plain water or as directed by your physician.
- Soltus tablets should not be either chewed or broken. It should be taken orally.
