Panazep LS is prescribed by doctors to treat depression and anxiety disorders. Depression is a condition causing emotional and physical problems that may lead to feelings of sadness and loss of inter

est in the once enjoyed activities. It also causes difficulty in sleeping, anger, and loss of energy. The two active ingredients in Panazep LS – Clonazepam and Paroxetine bring about a calming effect in the brain and elevate the mood, improve sleep, and prevent feelings of sadness and loss. Panazep plus brings about specific changes in the brain’s chemical messengers, reducing abnormal activity in the nerve cells. It also increases the levels of hormones in your brain responsible for elevation mood and happy feelings. Panazep Ls is an effective medicine that comes as an extended-release tablet. This is a prescription-only medication.

No. You should not take Panazep LS while breastfeeding the child as it passes through the breast milk and can cause adverse effects in the newborn.

Driving

Can I drive if I have a Panazep LS?

Panazep LS causes drowsiness, sleepiness and slows down the reflexes. Therefore, your ability to drive safely may be affected. You should avoid driving till you are sure that your side effects have been resolved. Discuss with your doctor before you start this medicine.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with the Panazep LS?

No. Having alcohol while on treatment with Panazep LS increases the risk and intensity of the side effects such as vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, and breathing problems. This can also prove to be fatal sometimes.

Directions for Use of Panazep Ls Tablets

You should use the Panazep LS tablet only under the guidance of your doctor. Your doctor shall assess your condition and recommend the dosage and the timing best suited to you.
It can be given with or without food as its absorption is not influenced by food.
The tablet is to be taken as a whole and not broken, chewed, or crushed.
Read the expiry date on the strip before starting the medicine course.
You should not stop the medicine abruptly without discussing it with your doctor.
If you stop the medicine suddenly, you may experience withdrawal symptoms such as convulsions, shaking, nervousness, and sleeplessness. Your doctor shall reduce the dose gradually.
The doctor shall adjust the dose of the medicine differently for elderly persons.
