Pacimol Susp is a pain-killer medicine and fever-reducing medicine. The main ingredient of the formulation is paracetamol.

Uses of Pacimol Susp

Pacimol Susp is prescribed for the treatment of pain and fever, especially mild to moderate pain. Additionally, it is used to treated feverishness, headache, lower back pain, migraine, feverish cold and toothache. Pacimol Susp is also given along with other medicines to treat fever, stomach pain and cold. Pacimol Susp is mostly prescribed for adults who have difficulty taking tablets or in children aged six or older.

Contraindications of Pacimol Susp

Pacimol Susp is not prescribed for people who are allergic to paracetamol. It is also not prescribed for people who are already taking medicines containing paracetamol or are diagnosed with liver or kidney disease.

Allergic signs of swelling of lips, eyes or tongue, itchy skin, rashes and breathing issues are common Pacimol Susp side effects. If you observe any of these signs in you or your child, discontinue the Pacimol Susp dosage. A serious but rare side effect of Pacimol Susp is a severe skin reaction.

Can I consume alcohol with this medicine?
Liver damage is one of the possible severe complications of paracetamol. Therefore, it is advisable not to drink alcohol regularly or drink excess alcohol while taking this medicine.

How Does It Work?

Paracetamol inhibits prostaglandins in the body. The body releases prostaglandins as a response to any illness or pain. By blocking the prostaglandins, the body becomes less aware of the pain and fever in the body. Paracetamol also works on the area of the brain, which is responsible for controlling the body's temperature.

Directions for Use of Pacimol Susp

Shake the bottle for at least ten seconds before using the medicine. Use the spoon provided in the package to administer the suspension. Do not overfill the spoon.

Interactions of Pacimol Susp

Interactions with other medicines

Inform the doctor if you or your child have been taking any medicines to control nausea or vomiting, treat cold or flu, reduce cholesterol or treat epilepsy. Also, inform the doctor if you are taking oral steroidal contraceptives, sleep-inducing medicines or antidepressants.

Dosage of Pacimol Susp


If you or your child has taken an excess dose of Pacimol Susp, inform your doctor about it. Excess paracetamol can cause delayed severe liver damage.

Missed a Dose

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip taking the missed dose. Take the remaining doses of that day at even time intervals. Do not take extra Pacimol Susp doses to make up for the missed dose.
